I checked my Skyrim Save: 127 hours and counting
On a playstation 3 without having any major problems that seems to be quite an achievement.
On the flip side, this is the amount of time I’ve spent on one game when I’m supposed to be working. How much would I have done in I’m not at uni?
Hrm.
Also Oblivion has apparently dispatched so I should receive it soon. That’s going on my laptop which could potentialy be deadly. I’ve got to get off my arse to go downstairs to play on the playstation, and I’m turfed off when le family want the TV. However I can stay in my room and be distracted on my laptop…and no one knows for how long for. *duh duh duuhn*
I also hope that i don’t destroy my computer by installing mods. I’m rubbish with them. i tried it once with minecraft and nearly titted up my whole game.
Stealing in Skyrim
(By Sia-Chan)
Pretty much. Love it :)
“It irritates me so much when people play skyrim just because it’s popular and they haven’t even bothered to check out Oblivion or any of the other amazing Bethesda games.”
It’s popular for a reason, and why begrudge people getting into a franchise? God knows that they’re married to that franchise from then on.
I have Morrowind, but i can’t get into it because of the godawful gameplay. I’m tempted to try Morrowind, but the limited graphics and gameplay are again an issue. It’s a chore to go back to them often, because it feels like a step back, depsite the lure of more lore. There are legitimate reasons why people might be happy settling in Skyrim. Skyrim is a genuinely stunning game. To whine about it in such a way takes away from why it’s a wonderful game in it’s own right.
Let people enjoy it how they like. God knows there’s enough lore and history and quest lines and enjoyment in that game alone.
People rarely play games ‘just because they’re popular’. They might pick them up because they hear good reviews on it, or because their mates bug them to. But they play it and keep it because they love it and appreciate it. How is that a bad thing? It’s not detracting from your experience and it’s none of your bleedin’ business what they check out or not.
Elder Scrolls hipsters need to chill out, is what I’m saying.

Skyrim Update: I completed the ‘Azura’s star’ quest and had the sweet priestess of Azura come follow me on adventures because she felt lonely….
….the curse of Nuieme strikes again!
Seriously, she didn’t last 3 minutes before I accidentally shot her while she was fighting falmer. Bloody followers getting in my line of fire.
ARGH.
So that’s another of my followers dead. I feel rather guilty. THIS IS WHY NUIEME DOESN’T TAKE FOLLOWERS. She’s cursed I tell you!
I allowed myself to get hopeful that this one might survive. Silly me.

…and no, I never re-load to escape/change a situation, especially not follower/wife/player deaths. Not the way I play.
(I only ever did that once in Skulldafen because I was utterly unprepared and literally couldn’t return there again. And that still bugs my fragile ego. lol)
Oh you played the entire Elder Scrolls series?
Please, tell us your secrets, oh great one. I’m sure that you’re not a condescending cock at all.
I’m all for sexy mods. Go for it if that’s your bag. (God knows on Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines the guy who gave it me modded Malkavians to be topless because it’s hilarious)….but this mod is bloody freaky.
Why, Skyrim, why?
I don’t know whats more terrifying. The giant terrifying animu face, the peadophilic breasts and genitals or the dodgy cat ears.
I do rather dig the cloves and the scribbled-on-heart though
JESUS CHRIST YES.
If I had any level of talent I would go nightingale.
This is so gorgeous

Elder Scrolls MMO - No More Fucks Given
First Elder Scrolls Online Details Make it Sound Like Just Another Fantasy MMO
And going by what people are saying on NeoGAF.. yeah, there is nothing special about it. Just another fantasy MMO, with the same “tested” mechanics as every other game in the genre.
Because, you know.. when adapting a series famous for customization, freedom and world interaction, static NPCs that give quests for lv 5 players, set classes, traditional leveling are totally the things that come to mind.
It also uses the same engine as Star Wars: The Old Republic.
There will be nothing emergent or interesting in this MMO. No stacking of cheese wheels, nothing amusing. Just clean rationalized leveling up for end-game bosses.
Oh, and it’s not even being done by the Bethesda studio.
So it really is just slapping the name onto the MMO. Oh, and calling black people Redguards.
They can fuck right off and redo this game CORRECTLY.
Hmm I’m intrigued either way. I think I’ll have to reserve judgement until I see some gameplay.
All I know is my adoration of Skyrim is battling with my hatred of MMOs. It’s hard to see which will come out the winner. But it had better be bloody special and different.
The main draw, for me, to the MMO is the idea that you can play in all of Tamriel, and finally experience these wonderful different enviornments and cultures and lore in one place…in theory.
And of course it’s Xbox exclusive at release…*grumble*
And they’ve also announced The Elder Scrolls Online. That sort of makes me wish I liked MMO’s. But I don’t, so I just hope that it will be a good game for those who do.
My thoughts exactly.
MMOs are always ruined by all the other players clogging the place up. haha.
Also apparently Dawnguard will come out on PS3 and Pc and the like. Just a little later on. it’s just that Xbox won the bidding war or whatever.
“This game makes me wish I was playing on the PC just for all the amazing mods I see and hear about.”
But then I remember attempting to use the keyboard to game with morrowind and Grand Theft Auto, and I realise I can’t deal with PC gaming.
I know you can plug in console controllers with some jiggery-pokery but…I dunno. Since I already spend an inordinate amount of time on my computer, getting up, going downstairs and loading up the TV especially for Skyrim (and being limited since the rest of the family want to use the TV) just feels more special and immersive as a result.
Plus I adore my playstation. Since I was brought up with playstation 1,2 and 3
“I find I get incredibly frustrated with how the Dark Brotherhoods armour looks, if you are a league of assassins you really don’t want to stand out yet here I am strutting round town in black and red leather with a big black hand-print on me! I just imagine the guards seeing me an thinking ‘Oh, look an assassin we know who to arrest if there are any murders.’”
